Morning in Alaska
A recording project I've been involved with (as guitarist/engineer) over the last couple of years has just released an album. Bed tracks for Track 3, "Fire" (drums, bass, acoustic guitar, electric tremolo guitar) were recorded "live off the floor" at Pistachio Studio, as were slide guitar overdubs. Vocals and mixing were done at Riverside Studio in North Van.
Trevor and Garrett Crane are Bear Hop. Had them in the studio recording and mixing on their latest batch of songs. The two brothers have great creative energy and some really catch tunes.
Johnny Maudlin has been a regular Pistachio Studio client over the past couple of years, and truth be told, had a hand in the naming of the studio. He's a prolific songwriter, a solid finger picker, and has a warm soothing voice that just draws you into his songs.

Had Jess Boon in the studio to record acoustic demos of her original songs. Jess has a unique style and writes about her local experiences.
